Yesterday, February 13th at 4am, we lost our Roxie. She was only 3 years old. Poor Nik, Rox chose him as her own after we brought her home from Smokey's house (Ben's friend). First he loses Squall and now the pretty little Rox. She had been steadily losing weight for the past month or two and we finally couldn't put off a trip to the vet (even though we really can't afford it). Unfortunately, it was kidney disease and she was already too far gone. So we brought her home and tried to make her comfortable and keep her hydrated, but on Sunday, she finally stopped getting up and walking around. At 4am, Nik woke to check on her and she was gone. Oh, how we'll miss our little Roxie. She was such a gorgeous cat and so gentle. We are now down to 4 cats.
